Our Role: A URL Parser, Not a Host
PinSnap is a free utility that parses publicly accessible Pinterest HTML and surfaces the underlying media URLs to your browser, app, or extension. PinSnap does not host, mirror, store, or redistribute Pinterest media on its own servers. The media is delivered directly from Pinterest's CDN to your device.
Third-Party Content Ownership
Pinterest media is, in most cases, uploaded by Pinterest's own users — who retain copyright in their work under Pinterest's Terms of Service. Some pins reference content owned by brands, photographers, illustrators, or other third parties. PinSnap does not own, license, or claim any rights in any third-party content surfaced through the Service.
Your Responsibility When Downloading
You are solely responsible for confirming that you have the right to download, save, or further use any content you obtain through the Service. Before downloading, please consider:
- Is the pin your own original work?
- Has the rights-holder granted permission for personal-use download (explicitly, or via a license such as Creative Commons)?
- Does your intended use qualify as fair use, fair dealing, or a similar exception in your jurisdiction?
- If none of the above apply, ask the rights-holder for permission before downloading.
Permitted Personal Use
The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use — for example, building offline mood boards, archiving your own pins, design reference, or research. Re-uploading downloaded content to public-facing services, selling it, or otherwise using it commercially is not permitted unless you have the rights-holder's express permission.
PinSnap Trademarks & Brand
The PinSnap name, logo, website design, source code, original copy, illustrations, and other proprietary materials are owned by PinSnap and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not use the PinSnap marks in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation without our written permission. Nominative fair use — referring to PinSnap by name in factual comparisons or reviews — is welcome.
Reporting Copyright Concerns
If you believe content surfaced through the Service infringes your copyright, please contact us. Notices that meet the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) will receive a prompt response.
